My 9 week old puppy?
Ok I have a Rott-German Shephard mix puppy. About a week ago I was eatting peanut butter out of the jar. my son saw this . I walked away from the jar and was getting him something to drink. he took the jar of peanut butter, and offered some to the dog and him self. (the puppy now loves peanut butter and get uber excited when he sees me bring it out of the fridge)
Now my son is 2 and a half, the puppy nine weeks. My question is can I use it for his trianing. ( he does not really like the puppy and dog treats )
Small amounts of peanut butter are fine. I would also recomend putting some peanut butter onto the dog treats to get him to eat those. Too much peanut butter is not good for their digestive systems and is very high in fat. You should try to stay away from feeding him any other table food. It is a hard habit to break once you start and can cause your dog to become ill with various conditions such as pancreatitis. Dogs systems can not handle the high fat content that is in a lot of human food. Small amounts of peanut butter should be fine, my dog has a pretty sensative stomach but she can tolerate a small lick of peanut butter which I use to give her pills. Good luck with the puppy.
