Dog Biscuit Events

dog biscuit events
What projects can I do for a volunteer event?

So far, I have make posters, flower pots for nursing homes, bird feeders, thank you cards for the troops, painting, baby blankets, and dog biscuits. I need a few more. Thanks.

Here are a few:

Books for inmates
Time spent with inmates children (party, park, carnival)

It amazes me how we lock people away in this society and never think of the consequences of their families. Many in prison today are innocent after taking a plea bargan instead of going to court or they are in for minor crimes like drugs, drunk in public, tax evasion, DUI, shoplifting and such. We throw these people way and their families too. Doing something for them is good as many dont care.

More:

Food drive for shelters
Collect motel lotions, soaps, conditioner and such for Woman
Shelters and homeless shelters.
Classes on music and art (get an instructor) for Seniors
Exercise classes for Seniors
Transportation to Doctors for Seniors
Coat closet (collect jackets, hats, scarfs) for needy
Collect Garage Sale stuff (many people will gladly give stuff away
on the last day) and distribute to needy or fire victims.
Community Garden (start a garden and have needy tend it and reap the benefits of fresh veggies).
Connect Seniors with pets (take photos at shelter)
If you have a pet you can connect with nursing homes to bring
you pet in so that seniors can play with your pet. It makes them
feel great and loved.
Cookies for Seniors (Valentines or Easter)
Board Game Day (set up for Seniors or Teens)
Pass our Crossword Puzzle or Word Search Books to Seniors
who can not afford them. They love it.
Get people involved in Giving to a Fund for Local Scholarships
for local youth. Many do not think of these kids who need
money to go to college. Get the word out.

I have done many vounteer projects and always feel good when I am done. When we give of ourselves we reach our highest level of happiness. Your are on a great road that only few travel. Keep up the great work.
